PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Soul today announced that they have exercised rookie option on four players- DL Sean Daniels (6’3, 265, Temple), DB Torez Jones (6’1, 192, Western Carolina), DL Ben Perry (6’5, 263, Minnesota), and WR Andrew Robustelli (6’3, 215, Jacksonville) for the upcoming 2017 season.
“All four of these players have shown a great deal of talent after just one season,” said Soul head coach Clint Dolezel. “They have learned the basics of arena football now and I look forward to seeing what they can bring to training camp this year.”
Daniels recorded 6.0 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss of nine yards, one blocked kick and one interception for a nine-yard touchdown during his rookie season with the Soul. Jones totaled one total tackle, one pass break-up and one defended pass in one game with the Soul last season. Perry did not see game action with the Soul last season. Robustelli spent his first year with the Jacksonville Sharks completing 13 receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns as well as 21.5 total tackles.
