The 2013 AFL regular season was certainly a memorable one. It also turned out to be one for the record books, as a variety of League, franchise, season, game and career records were broken. Take a look at some of the milestones accomplished this season.

SINGLE-SEASON AFL RECORDS

ARIZONA RATTLERS FB ODIE ARMSTRONG rushed for 25 touchdowns in 2013, good for the eighth-highest single-season total in AFL history.

ARIZONA RATTLERS DB VIRGIL GRAY and SAN JOSE SABERCATS DB CLEVAN THOMAS each recorded 15 interceptions in 2013, good for the second-highest single-season totals in AFL history.

ARIZONA RATTLERS K GARRETT LINDHOLM set a new single-season AFL record for PAT conversions with 158, breaking KENNY SPENCER’s previous mark of 138, set in 2012.

ARIZONA RATTLERS K GARRETT LINDHOLM set a new single-season AFL record for PAT attempts with 168, breaking MARCO CAPOZZOLI’s previous mark of 155, set in 2011.

ARIZONA RATTLERS K GARRETT LINDHOLM finished the 2013 season with 179 kicking points, tied for the second-highest single-season mark in AFL history.

IOWA BARNSTORMERS DE MIKE LEWIS recorded 12.5 sacks in 2013, good for the seventh-highest single-season total in AFL history.

The JACKSONVILLE SHARKS set a new League record with 47 sacks on the season, breaking the previous mark of 42, set by the SAN JOSE SABERCATS in 2012.

JACKSONVILLE SHARKS DE JERRY TURNER recorded 12 sacks in 2013, good for the eighth-highest single-season total in AFL history.

ORLANDO PREDATORS QB AARON GARCIA and UTAH BLAZE QB TOMMY GRADY set a new single-season AFL record for interceptions thrown with 28, breaking MARK GRIEB and GINO GUIDUGLI’s previous mark of 25, set in 2012.
