Arizona Rattlers Press Release
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Arizona Rattlers will bring a football presence to the 2013 Waste Management Phoenix Open for the second consecutive year. They will be hosting their very own Arizona Rattlers branded football field and entertainment area located behind the first tee box at the tournament.
The “Rattlers Den,” that is open to the public, will consist of a 100-by-50-foot field that will be branded with the team logo and signage around the field. The area will have both seated and standing areas for fans to watch the tournament while mingling with Rattlers players, coaches and Sidewinders dance team. A concessions area will be available where fans can purchase food and drink items that are named to reflect fun facts about the Rattlers.
Additionally, there will be a special VIP section near the end zone of the field that will boast television screens for fans to watch the tournament and their own exclusive viewing area of the golfers as they pass by the Rattlers Den on the course.
Festivities that will be held within the Rattlers Den include photo opportunities, meet and greets, and autograph sessions with the players, coaches and Sidewinders dancers in attendance.
“We were thrilled with the response that the “Rattlers Den” received at the event last year as this is the only time football and golf have been merged together in one venue,” said Rattlers majority owner Ron Shurts. “The Phoenix sports community is a close-knit group and we are proud to support not only another successful event in the valley, but also bring another dynamic to sports fans and connect with the community in a new way.”
Shurts and the Rattlers will be involved in many ways at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The event's annual Pro-Am will be presented by the Annexus Group, one of Shurts’ business ventures, which is scheduled for January 30th at the TPC Stadium Course.
