KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Command have been assigned former Dallas Cowboys third round draft pick Robert Brewster (6-5, 310) to its 2012 offensive line.
Brewster was drafted by the Cowboys in 2009, spending two seasons with America’s Team. The former Ball State Cardinal will be reunited with Command quarterback Nate Davis and wide receiver Darius Hill, as the trio helped Ball State achieve a top 25 national ranking for the first time in school history back in 2008.
While at Ball State, Brewster earned first- team All-Mid-American Conference honors in 2007 and 2008. The four-year letterwinner started all 14 games in 2008, helping anchor an offensive unit that tallied 3,591 passing yards and 6,195 yards of total offense in the same year.
Brewster will compete with four other offensive lineman when the Command opens its 2012 training camp next month. He has the most NFL experience of the five.
