Assistant Head Coach

PRO CAREER:Promoted to Assistant Head Coach by the Cleveland Gladiators in 2012 after originally being hired as the team's Director of Player Personnel in 2011. Ron Selesky has compiled an 8-14 record in two seasons as a head coach and was named the AFL's Assistant Coach of the Year with the Gladiators in 2014. He began his Arena Football career as an assitant coach and Director of Player Personnel for the Tampa Bay Storm from 1997-99, helping to lead the team to a 31-11 regular season record and an ArenaBowl appearance in 1998. He took his first head coaching position with the af2's Louisville Fire in 2001 and earned af2 Coach of the Year honors after guiding the Albany Conquest to a 13-3 regular season record in 2002. He returned to the AFL in 2003 as head coach and Director of Football Operations for the Buffalo Destroyers. He began the 2004 season as the defensive coordinator for the Carolina Cobras before being promoted to interim head coach for the team's final six games. He rejoined the Columbus Destroyers as a defensive coordinator in 2005 before heading back to the af2 as head coach for the Alabama Steeldogs in 2006. In 2008, Selesky jumped back to the AFL as the defensive coordinator and Director of Player Personnel for the Grand Rapids Rampage. He joined the Cleveland Gladiators in the same capacity in 2011.
