VooDoo Dolls, Ella Dolhonde Teachers Practice

NEW ORLEANS  – The New Orleans VooDoo Dolls and Ella Dolhonde Elementary School teachers took to the practice field at Cleary Playground on Tuesday night. The two teams installed new plays, practiced flag pulling, and participated in a live scrimmage.

Team Monogram Express (Gray) looked polished on offense, scoring on its first play via a 60-yard run by VooDoo Doll Brittany L., but Team VooDooStuff.com (Blue) bounced back on their first possession, reaching pay dirt via a 46-yard passing touchdown from Brittney H. to Brittany W.

After some early scoring fireworks, each coaching staff decided to hold its offensive arsenal and keep some secrets for the game on Friday, or maybe it was the defense that took over – whatever the case, the VooDoo Dolls and teachers had fun.

“It was great to see how enthusiastic the Dolls and teachers were tonight.  I am very happy to see all the Dolls and teachers having a great time, learning and playing football.  This is a great cause to get behind,” said Brandon Rizzuto, VooDoo Vice President/Director of Media Relations.

All of the proceeds from Preauxs versus Jeauxs will go to Ella Dolhonde Elementary School to purchase books for its new library and to Each One Save One.  To purchase tickets, simply go to www.playnola.com/events.

The event will feature two games with the first being a contest between the VooDoo Dolls and some Ella Dolhonde teachers.  The VooDoo Dolls had a tryout on January 10 and VooDoo front office divided all participants into two teams, and the two teams will play the first game.

Official rosters for Team Monogram Express (gray) and Team VooDooStuff.com (Blue) will be released tomorrow.
