NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans VooDoo will start its 2012 training camp on Friday, February 24, announced the team front office on Thursday afternoon.
The team will report for physicals on February 24, and then go through a three-day acclimation period before working out in full pads for the first time on Tuesday, February 28. The first week of training camp will culminate with a preseason game at the ArenaBowl XXIV Champion Jacksonville Sharks.
“I am looking forward to getting our guys into camp and getting our season started,” said VooDoo head coach Pat O’Hara. “There will be a lot of heated competition at every position, which will only bring out the best in the guys that we bring into camp.”
The VooDoo currently has 31 of its 35 training camp roster spots filled, and will plug the final four spots in the ensuing weeks. All training camp practices are set to be held at the Alario Center in Westwego unless otherwise specified and are closed to the public.
