NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans VooDoo held a successful tryout on Saturday at Tad Gormley Stadium with almost 100 hopefuls participating in the workout, trying to catch the eye of New Orleans VooDoo head coach Pat O’Hara.
“It was a great turnout and perfect weather,” said O’Hara. “I was pleased with the effort and enthusiasm that all of the guys had. We are very close to our season and with a few roster spots left, the coaching staff and I are going to be evaluating all of these young men over the next few days.”
All of the participating players took part in the 40-yard dash, 15-yard shuttle, 1-on-1 drills, and other arena football specific workouts. After the offense and defense worked individually, the two units came together to learn a little arena football style of play.
The times and distances will be posted to the VooDoo team website this week. Stay tuned to aflvoodoo.com to see official postings.
