Mustangs Show Support for Animal Shelters

MILWAUKEE  The Milwaukee Mustangs were proud to support the Great Lakes Pet Exposition on Saturday, Feb. 4 at State Fair Park. The event was presented by AWARE Wisconsin, and all proceeds benefited animal shelters and rescues in Wisconsin.

“Getting involved in the community is very important because we always look to give back to those that come out and support us, especially with the younger kids,” said Milwaukee Mustangs wide receiver, Jared Jenkins. “Sometimes people look at it like a job, but it really is a joy for us to give back to those that support the team. It’s just a small thing that we can do for them.”

The expo featured a puppy bowl, with rescue puppies looking for homes, and a dog agility course in which Mustangs’ representatives and players participated in throughout the day. The Mustangs also featured a contest for kids to win a prize pack, which included a hat, a shirt and a ticket voucher to one of the Mustangs’ 2012 home games.

The winning numbers for the kids prize packs can be found on the Mustangs’ website at mkemustangs.com. Please contact the Mustangs office at 414-224-4000, or stop by the office to claim your prize. The day’s festivities also included a raffle to win two season tickets for the Mustangs 2012 Arena Football Season.
