Kicker Chris Gould Assigned to Arizona

MESA, AZ - The Arizona Rattlers announce the assignment of kicker Chris Gould.

After attending University of Virginia and being a four year letter winner with their Cavaliers Football Team, Gould debuted with the Chicago Rush in 2010.  He had a record-breaking rookie season,  PATs made (113), points (158) and consecutive PATs (35)  but was hampered with a hip injury in and on IR for 4 weeks in 2011.  Despite that, he scored 93 points, was 1st in the AFL for field goal percentage (73%) and tied for 2nd in extra point percentage (93%).

"We are excited to get Chris, as he was a former AFL Kicker of the year and he has a history of making clutch kicks," says GM/Head Coach Kevin Guy. 

Open Tryouts will be held this weekend on the Rattlers' grass practice field.at the Gene Autry Sports Complex, 4125 E. McKellips Rd, Mesa, AZ. 

The tryout will run from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Cost to participate is $80.00. Payment must come in form of cash or money order.  Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 8:55 a.m. Participants must be registered to participate.

Participants must bring their own cleats, shorts and accessories. No pads or helmets are required. All camp activity is non-contact. Participants must show up ready to go, no locker room facilities will be made available. However, bathrooms are available.
