CHICAGO– The Arena Football League has launched a state of the art message board on ArenaFootball.com, the League Office announced today.
As the AFL enters its 25th season, coined the “Year of the Fan,” the League aims to bring the most fan-friendly sport to the next level. So far, fans have already had the opportunity to submit nominations for numerous Top 25 lists, win prizes and share their stories in “AFL Fanographies.” Now, fans will have the ability to converse and debate with others in a highly interactive message board.
“Since we are celebrating the 'Year of the Fan,' this is another opportunity to enable fans to interact with each other and have their voices heard,” AFL New Media Coordinator BJ Pickard said. “Fans will accumulate points for participation throughout the season every time they post on the new message board. A season leader board will be kept which will allow fans to redeem points for prizes.”
Leader board point groups include: Rookie, 0 to 49; Veteran, 50 to 99, Ironman 100 to 149; All-Arena, 150 to 199; Arena Bowl MVP, 200 to 299; Hall Of Famer 300 to 499; and AFL Legend, 500 and above.
The message board will also feature Silver Anniversary discussions such as top 25 Lists, “AFL Fanographies” and favorite AFL memories. Fans can comment on individual team forums, discuss players and divisions. Furthermore, fans will have the opportunity to discuss any non-AFL related topics.
Fans can access the new message board using the Message Board tab on ArenaFootball.com, on the AFNation page or by visiting www.ArenaFootball.com/PHPBBForum.
