Week 11 AFL Matchups: Action Packed Weekend in the AFL Begins Tonight; Brigade Visit Gladiators, Streaking Storm and Soul Collide on Saturday

LAS VEGAS – The Tampa Bay Storm (7-1) and Philadelphia Soul (8-0) are on a collision course that meets on  Saturday, June 17 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Wells Fargo Center on CBS Sports Network. The Soul boast an unbeaten record in their last 15 contests, including eight straight wins to begin their 2017 campaign. The Storm are victors of their last six contests, all following a Week 2 loss to the Soul 56-52. Tampa Bay is coming off a one-point victory over the Washington Valor in Week 9 while the Soul held on their home court to defeat the Cleveland Gladiators. With so many offensive weapons in the game, both teams are armed with two of the best quarterbacks in the AFL this season; Randy Hippeard (TB) and Dan Raudabaugh (PHI). Both quarterbacks have the same amount of touchdown passes this season (51) and the same amount of interceptions (4), both marks are tops in the league.

The weekend begins with the Baltimore Brigade (2-5) visit the Cleveland Gladiators (2-7) tonight  Friday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Quicken Loans Arena streaming on AFLNow and Twitter. The teams have met twice this season and both games were decided by three points with the Brigade victorious on both occasions. Baltimore rookie quarterback Shane Carden will lead his team against gritty veteran Arvell Nelson for Cleveland. Both teams met in Cleveland on April 16 with the Brigade victorious 52-49. Carden through a career-high six touchdown passes in that contest while Nelson replaced starter Tanner Marsh and threw two touchdowns on three completions to keep the contest within striking distance. Both teams will look to keep pace with the Storm and the Soul in the standings.
