Rush OS Bobby Sippio

By Nathan Boudreaux -- For the second time in three weeks Chicago WR/DB Bobby Sippio had a career game.  Sippio, starting at offensive specialist for the Rush, hauled in 10 receptions for 217 yards and six TDs for a total of 61 fantasy points in an 84-48 win over Utah.  Since joining the Rush a little more than a month ago after being released by Tampa Bay, Sippio has 32 catches for 580 yards and 15 TDs in just four games.  His 217 yards receiving and six TDs were both career highs.

 

Here’s a look at who else is hot after week 15:

 

QB John Dutton (Colorado Crush) – Completed 29-of-43 passes for 376 yards with six TDs against two INTs in a 61-56 loss at San Jose (38 fantasy points)...Despite the two INTs, Dutton still had a solid fantasy effort...Has passed for 4,193 yards and 89 TDs on the year and ranks second in the League in scoring passes (31.1 ppg.).

 

OS Freddie Solomon (Tampa Bay Storm) – Had one of his best games of the season in a 51-48 loss vs. Columbus...Caught 14 passes for 160 yards and two TDs (42 fantasy points)...In 10 games this season, Solomon has 71 receptions for 960 yards and 15 scores (25.0 ppg.).

 

OS Damian Harrell (Colorado Crush) – Continued his breakout season with another four TD grabs (nine catches for 129 yards) in a 61-56 loss at San Jose (41 fantasy points)...Leads the AFL in scoring (330 points) and receiving with 147 catches for 1,859 yards and an AFL single-season record 55 TDs (40.1 ppg.).

 

FB/LB Marlion Jackson (Las Vegas Gladiators) – Was a force on the ground and through the air in a disappointing 75-28 loss vs. Arizona...Was the only bright spot for the Gladiators offense with five catches for 69 yards and a TD receiving to go along with 10 yards rushing (24 fantasy points)...In nine games this season, Jackson has 137 rushing yards and four TDs and 14 receptions for 230 yards and four scores...He’s averaging 16.4 yards per reception (14.4 ppg.).

 

WR/DB Randy Gatewood (Arizona Rattlers) – Should be a finalist for AFL Ironman of the Year again this season...Helped the Rattlers to a 75-28 win over Las Vegas with five catches for 68 yards and four TDs receiving to go along with a rushing score (43 fantasy points)...Is Arizona’s top receiver with 81 catches for 1,066 yards and 33 TDs on offense and also leads the team with 61 tackles and 3 INTs on defense (31.8 ppg.).

 

WR/LB Dialleo Burks (Dallas Desperados) – Caught eight passes for 122 yards and three TDs (40 fantasy points) in a 51-48 loss at Philly...His 122 yards receiving gave him 1,055 yards on the season and helped the receiving trio of Burks, Terrill Shaw and Will Pettis to each catch for over 1,000 yards on the season...Has 87 catches for 1,055 yards and 28 TDs (25.1 ppg.).

 

WR/DB Rob Turner (Los Angeles Avengers) – Started at offensive specialist in place of Tony Locke and helped the Avengers snap a six-game losing streak with a 73-56 win over Nashville...Caught 10 passes for 96 yards and three scores (38 fantasy points) in his starting debut...In six games this season, Turner has 19 catches for 163 yards and six TDs (13.3 ppg.).

 

DS Eddie Moten (Philadelphia Soul) – Helped the Soul to a 51-48 win over Dallas...Totaled 8.5 tackles and a career-high three INTs (25 fantasy points)...On the season, Moten is tied for the AFL lead with 11 INTs and ranks fourth with 94.5 tackles (14.1 ppg.).

 

K Dan Frantz (Chicago Rush) – Had a huge game for Chicago in a 84-48 win over Utah...Was 11-of-11 on PAT attempts and connected on his only FG try (28 yards) for a total of 16 fantasy points...In eight games with the Rush, Frantz has made 45-of-49 PATs and 9-of-17 FG attempts for 72 points (10.0 ppg.).
