PROFESSIONAL

Nickerson will enter his fourth season in the Arena Football League in 2008, his first with the Rattlers. Has been a consistent performer in his three AFL seasons, playing in 46 of a possible 48 games. Was Austin ’s second leading receiver with 90 receptions for 1025 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 2006, was named US Army Ironman of the Game in two games (2/12 vs. Kansas City, 3/12 vs. New York ), playing at both wide receiver and defensive back. Received AFL All-Rookie honors in 2005 while starting 11 games and leading the team in receiving yards with 1,028. Played nine games as a wide receiver/defensive back with the Tulsa Talons in 2002, where he caught 14 passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns. He also returned six kickoffs for 146 yards for an average of 24.3 yards per return and one touchdown, and notched six tackles and intercepted one pass for 30 yards and a touchdown. Played in eight games for the Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL) and started two games at slot back in 2003. Made his CFL and Roughrider debut in week five that season when he caught eight passes for 103 yards. Returned 17 kickoffs for 402 yards and 24 punts for 178 yards on the year.

COLLEGE
Received All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association honors all four years he was at Central Missouri State . Started 44 games at wide receiver and was four-year letter winner at CMSU, finishing his college career with 86 receptions for 974 yards and eight touchdowns. Also managed to rush for 425 yards on 79 carries. He led the team in kickoff and punt returns in all four seasons, and holds the CMSU career record for punt returns with 108. Also holds NCAA-II records of punt returns for touchdowns (8) and combined kick returns for touchdowns (10- eight punts, two kickoffs). Overall, returned 72 kickoffs for 1,094 yards and two touchdowns while returning 108 punts for 1,454 yards and eight touchdowns.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL
Kevin was born April 27, 1980 and graduated from Central High School in Kansas City . He earned all-conference, all-district and all-state honors in football. Scored two touchdowns in the Missouri Lions’ Club All-Star game.
