AFL NOTES: Bryan Henderson, a six-year AFL veteran, brings added depth to the Dallas defensive line in 2008 after spending last season with the Grand Rapids Rampage. He is an experienced defensive lineman that has posted 57.0 tackles and 16.5 sacks.
AFL 2007 (Grand Rapids): Henderson tied for a team-high 3.5 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss while also posting 13.0 tackles, eight pass breakups, eight forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and one interception for the Rampage in 12 games played. He returned a fumble 41 yards for a touchdown against the New York Dragons (4/7), setting a team record. Henderson earned Defensive Player of the Game honors on when he forced a fumble, logged his first career interception and recorded a sack against the Kansas City (6/2).
AFL 2006 (Utah/Kansas City): Henderson split the 2006 season with Utah and finished the season out with Kansas City. With Utah, Henderson appeared in eight games, posting four tackles, one sack, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. With Kansas City, he had seven tackles, one sack, two pass breakups and one forced fumble in seven games.
AFL 2005 (Austin): He played in five games for the Austin Wranglers, totaling 2.5 tackles and one pass breakup.
AFL 2004 (Arizona): Henderson helped anchor a solid defensive line that took the Rattlers to ArenaBowl XVIII in 2004 and was named to the 2004 All-AFL First Team after recording a team-high 8.0 sacks. His second season in Arizona saw him record 17.5 tackles, 8.0 sacks, two pass breakups, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 16 games played.
AFL 2003 (Arizona): In his first season in the league, Henderson was named as an AFL All-Rookie Team member with Arizona after posting 13.0 tackles, three sacks and one pass breakup in 15 games played. He saw time in three postseason games with the Rattlers in 2003 and made an appearance in ArenaBowl XVII where Arizona lost to the Tampa Bay Storm.
OTHER PRO EXPERIENCE: 2002 - Earned All-arenafootball2 First Team honors in 2002 with the Wichita Stealth. 2000 – Henderson spent the 2000 season with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.
COLLEGE: Henderson earned All-National Athletic Intercollegiate Association First Team honors as a senior at Northwest Oklahoma State University in 2000. He transfered to Northwest Oklahoma State from Los Angeles Valley Junior College, where he earned Junior College All-America First Team honors in 1999.
PERSONAL: Henderson has four children: Kiara, Bryana, Bryan and Anthony. He was a standout player at Northwest High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. |
