Career Notes:  Is in his eighth season in Arena Football and first with the Cleveland Gladiators...has spent time with the Georgia Force, Dallas Desperados, Colorado Crush and Grand Rapids Rampage during his career...originally signed with the Georgia Force for the 2008 season, but was released on March 28th...played in 16 games with the Dallas Desperados in 2007...named All-Arena Second Team in 2002, and earned All-Arena Ironman Team honors in 2005 and 2006...was a member of the 2005 Colorado Crush team that won ArenaBowl XIX.

 

2008 (Georgia):  Signed with the Georgia Force for training camp...released at the end of camp...signed with the Force on March 5th...appeared in three games, recording 11 rushes for 20 yards and two touchdowns...he caught two passes for 19 yards and added 21 kickoff returns for 354 yards...released by the Force on March 28th.

 

2007 (Dallas): Finished third on the team in receiving with 66 catches for 747 yards and 12 touchdowns in 16 games...added 29 kickoff returns for 485 yards on special teams, in addition to posting 13.5 tackles and one interception on defense...grabbed five receptions for 65 yards and one touchdown versus Orlando on March 26...led the team in receiving with 10 catches for 134 yards and one touchdown versus Austin on March 31, while logging 55 kickoff return yards on four returns...versus Philadelphia on April 16, led the Desperados with 95 yards receiving on five catches and two touchdowns.

 

2006 (Colorado): Logged career highs in receptions (100), receiving yards (992), rushing attempts (22), rushing yards (72), kickoff returns (79) and kickoff return yards (1,580) in 16 games for the Colorado Crush...ranked third in the AFL in all-purpose yards (2,667) which set a new franchise single-season high and was named to the AFL’s All-Ironman Team for his performance...hauled in seven catches for 54 yards and two to touchdowns, while adding 5.5 tackles on defense and was named Ironman of the Game versus Chicago on January 29...named Offensive Player of the Game and Ironman of the Game versus Las Vegas on February 12 after recording 126 kickoff return yards on five attempts on special teams and eight catches for 80 yards with two touchdowns...notched a career-high nine kickoff returns for 126 yards on special teams at Nashville on February 18 in addition to 45 yards on six catches...posted 275 all-purpose yards vs. Grand Rapids on March 5th, tallying 198 kickoff return yards on seven attempts and 77 receiving yards on four catches and one touchdown...recorded a season-high 103 yards on 10 receptions with three carries for nine yards and one score at San Jose on May 6.

 

2005 (Colorado): Registered 79 catches for 890 yards with 13 touchdowns in addition to recording five yards on 15 carries with six touchdowns on offense in 15 games for Colorado. Added 932 kickoff return yards on 42 attempts on special teams and tallied 29.5 tackles, four passes defensed and one forced fumble on defense...named to the AFL’s All-Ironman Team for his efforts. Tallied 106 receiving yards on seven catches with four touchdowns on offense at Dallas (3/25) and added 2.5 tackles on defense...hauled in 12 grabs for 110 yards with one touchdown at New Orleans (5/8) and logged 101 kickoff return yards on four attempts... Collected 11 receptions for 109 yards with one touchdown and added two carries for two yards with two touchdowns on offense vs. Nashville (5/13), and was named Ironman of the Game.

 

2004 (Colorado): Posted 854 receiving yards on 86 receptions with 13 touchdowns in 16 games with the Crush and ranked second on the club in receptions (86) and scoring among non-kickers (120)...tallied one net recovery for a touchdown in his Crush debut vs. Las Vegas (2/6)...registered three catches for 32 yards with two touchdowns on offense vs. Detroit (3/4) and added 2.5 tackles and three passes defended on defense...logged a season-high 10 receptions for 93 yards at San Jose (3/14)...led the team in receiving with nine grabs for a season-high 98 yards with three touchdowns vs. Chicago (5/30).

 

2003 (Grand Rapids):   Tallied team highs in kickoff returns (31) and kickoff return yards (732) and ranked second on the team in all-purpose yards (1,741) in addition to recording 75 receptions for 904 yards with 15 touchdowns in 16 games for Grand Rapids..registered a season-high 11 catches for 98 yards with three touchdowns at Dallas (3/16).

 

2002 (Grand Rapids): Named second-team All-Arena after leading Grand Rapids in catches (80), receiving yards (973), kickoff return yards (813) and all-purpose yards (1,791) in addition to posting 15 receiving touchdowns in 14 games...posted a season-high 118 receiving yards on five grabs with one touchdown at Arizona (5/31).

 

2001 (Grand Rapids):  Member of ArenaBowl championship team with the Rampage after hauling in 35 receptions for 440 yards with five touchdowns in seven games as a rookie, in addition to collaring 14 tackles on defense.

 

Other Professional Experience: Invited to work out for the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos in 2004...played for the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL from 1998-99, where he won a Grey Cup in ’98 with current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia as his quarterback.

 

College:  Four-year letter winner at Youngstown State University, where his teams won three Division I-AA championships under current Ohio State coach Jim Tressel...finished career with 74 receptions for 892 yards as a wide receiver after beginning his career as a defensive back...led the team in receiving as a senior with 40 catches for 490 yards with one touchdown en route to the Penguins third Division I-AA Championship in four years...tallied 24 grabs for 305 yards with one touchdown as a junior and recorded 10 receptions for 97 yards as a sophomore...collared four tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery as a freshman from the defensive back position...earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising and communications.

 

Personal:  Participated in football, basketball and track at Brother Rice (Detroit, MI) High School, where he won a State Championship in football in 1990...favorite players growing up were Walter Payton and Billy Simms...co-Owner of 4ward Motion, an event and party planning company in Detroit...Cousin of former Dallas Cowboys and Georgia Force fullback Robert Thomas...appeared in Disney’s movie The Game Plan as a defensive back and running back...born Willis Thurman Marshall III on August 12, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan.
