NEW YORK – The Arena Football League and OLN have reached an agreement naming OLN as the national cable television home for the AFL during its historic 20th Season. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“We are proud to be a part of OLN’s growing stable of major-league sports properties,” said MARC LOWITZ, President, AFL Network. “This national cable partnership, in combination with our other television agreements with NBC and FSN, ensures that the AFL will have more televised games, promotion and revenue in 2006 than ever before.”

OLN will televise 11 regular-season games and one Wild Card playoff game during the 2006 season.

“We’re excited to become the national cable television home for the AFL and help expand fan interest in Arena Football,” said Gavin Harvey, President of OLN.  "AFL games are a terrific addition to OLN’s expanding roster of sports content and will help us continue to broaden our reach and appeal to new viewers.”

OLN’s first AFL game will be televised live this Sunday, February 19 at 3 p.m. ET when the Philadelphia Soul (2-1) host the New York Dragons (2-1) in a battle of Eastern Division rivals. The game features two of the AFL’s most high-profile quarterbacks in TONY GRAZIANI of the Soul and AARON GARCIA of the Dragons.
