Ahmad Hawkins vs. Matt D'Orazio

Chicago Rush QB Matt D'Orazio defeated DB Ahmad Hawkins with 68% of the vote.  D'Orazio will face the winner between Georgia Force QB Chris Greisen and Dallas Desperados OL/DL Colston Weatherington in the Second Round on November 13.

DB Ahmad Hawkins - In his first season with Nashville, and fifth in the AFL, Hawkins tied the AFL single season interception record with 14. With 30 career interceptions, he also had 71.5 tackles in 2007. Named to 2007 All-Arena First Team.

 

QB Matt D’Orazio (Chicago Rush) - The ArenaBowl XX Champion quarterback led Chicago to a 12-4 record, in his second season with the Rush. D’Orazio led the Rush completing 351 of 506 passes, for 3,789 yards, and 82 touchdowns, all career highs. On the ground he led all quarterbacks in rushing attempts (61), and touchdowns (12).
