Siaha Burley vs. Duke Pettijohn

WR Siaha Burley defeated Dallas Desperados FB/LB Duke Pettijohn with 59% of the vote.  Burley will face Columbus Destroyers QB Matt Nagy in the Second Round on Wednesday, November 7. 

 

WR Siaha Burley (Utah Blaze)...Led the AFL in receptions (166) and receiving yards (2,129) last season...His 2,129 yards was an all-time League mark and he became the first receiver in professional football history to surpass 2,000 yards receiving in a single season...Led the Blaze with 49 touchdown grabs and was tops in the AFL with 141.1 receiving yards per game...Finished third in the League in scoring with 294 points.

 

FB/LB Duke Pettijohn (Dallas Desperados) – In his fourth season with Dallas, Pettijohn helped guide the Desperados to a 15-1 record. He posted a career high in sacks (6), along with forced fumbles (4) and fumble recoveries (4), and has averaged over 40 tackles a season since he has been in Dallas. Named to 2007 All-Ironman Team, the third consecutive season he has made this team. Named to 2007 All-Arena First Team, the second consecutive year for which he has earned this honor.
