NEW YORK – Miss America 2008 KIRSTEN HAGLUND, will be part of ArenaBowl XXII Weekend’s festivities, the Arena Football League announced today. Haglund will be featured in the ArenaBowl XXII Pregame Show on Sunday, July 27 from New Orleans Arena.

Haglund will be a visible part of ArenaBowl XXII Weekend as she’ll be a presenter at the ADT Awards Gala on Friday, July 26 and will make various appearances at the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, Mitsubishi Motors ArenaBowl Extravaganza, ArenaBowl XXII Radio Row and the ArenaBowl XXII Kid Zone.

Haglund's tenure as Miss America is highlighted by her raising awareness for eating disorders. The 19-year-old from Farmington Hills, MI, is a student at the University of Cincinnati and hopes to pursue a career on Broadway once she earns her degree in Musical Theatre.
