The 2008 season was the first in Cleveland for the Gladiators since the move from Las Vegas and the team exceeded expectations. Just shy of an ArenaBowl berth, the Gladiators' season ended with a loss to Philadelphia in the National Conference Championship game. QB Raymond Philyaw and WR Otis Amey return to anchor the offense behind 2008 Coach of the Year Mike Wilpolt.
